Biography
Harald Hirschsprung combined rigorous medical scholarship with a tender devotion to children, describing the congenital condition that now bears his name and advancing pediatrics as a precise and humane discipline.
He championed the wellbeing of Jewish patients and colleagues while strengthening Copenhagen's hospitals, and he now rests in the Jewish Western Cemetery.
