Biography
Harald Robert Gustav Hornberg (1875–1914) was a Lutheran priest who served the German and Baltic communities of Saint Petersburg. His ministry reflected the important role of the Lutheran Church in the religious and cultural life of the Baltic German population in the Russian Empire.
Hornberg's pastoral work represented the spiritual leadership provided by Lutheran clergy to their congregations during the late imperial period. His life was cut short in 1914, and he was interred in Smolensky Lutheran Cemetery, the principal burial ground for the Lutheran community of Saint Petersburg.
