Harley J. Stucky was born in 1920 and came of age during the hardships of the Depression, forging a life rooted in perseverance. He built his days around Hopefield Church, volunteering to keep the pews and fellowship hall welcoming while supporting neighbors through decades of change.
Into retirement he remained a fixture on the church green, offering quiet counsel, mowing the lawn, and sharing a kind word before his resting place at Hopefield Church Cemetery became one of the few places to see the steady, gentle reliability he embodied.
