Biography
Harold Rippon was admired not only for his athleticism but also for his character on and off the Australian rules football field. Born in 1874, he brought enthusiasm and teamwork to every match, becoming a cherished figure within his sports community.
When he later exchanged the stadium for service abroad, he remained true to the camaraderie he had fostered, and he now rests at Heilly Station Cemetery, where visitors may remember both the player and the person he was.
