Biography
Harriet Morehead Berry earned recognition as a guiding force in North Carolina's Good Roads movement, overseeing highway planning and insisting on engineering excellence at a time when few women held such authority.
Her dedication to safe bridges, reliable rural routes, and fair contracts did much to link communities and commerce, and her leadership opened new possibilities for women in public infrastructure.
