Biography
Harry Harlow, born in 1905, earned his place among the most influential psychologists of the twentieth century through pioneering research into attachment and the bonds between mothers and their children. His studies with primates at the University of Wisconsin exposed the deep emotional needs that foster healthy human development.
While his work provoked debate, colleagues remember him as a dedicated teacher whose passion for understanding love and care shaped both the field and the lives of students he mentored; he now rests at Forest Hill Cemetery.
