Biography

Harry Hooper (1887-1974) was a celebrated baseball outfielder whose reliable defense and humble demeanor made him a beloved figure on and off the field. His days in the spotlight never dimmed his desire to encourage young athletes and to demonstrate how perseverance and grace can weather every inning.

In the quiet that followed his playing days, he remained a pillar of his parish, finding peace and purpose in visiting fans and former teammates while resting now at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery.
