Biography

Harry Lyster (1830–1922) was a military man whose years of service abroad were matched by an equal devotion to the quiet rhythms of life near the Church of St. James the Less upon his return.

He remains honoured there for offering counsel to younger soldiers and for sustaining the church’s outreach to families coping with the strains of military separation.
