Biography

Harry Marshall Ward was a botanist whose curiosity led him to investigate plant disease and the influence of fungi on crops, helping to found the field of plant pathology and to strengthen agricultural science.

His rigorous studies and generous teaching inspired students and colleagues alike, and he now rests in the Ascension Parish Burial Ground.
