Biography

Harvey Burdell was born in 1811 and lived during the expansive early-to-mid nineteenth century. He was a contemporary of many who shaped American society during this transformative period.

Harvey Burdell passed away in 1857 and was laid to rest at Green-Wood Cemetery. His life of forty-six years reflected the experiences of his generation during the antebellum and early Civil War era.
