Hector Tyndale

Biography

Hector Tyndale answered the call to defend the Union as a brigade commander whose leadership at battles such as Gettysburg inspired confidence and courage among his troops.

After the war he returned to peaceful pursuits in Philadelphia, where he remained active in postwar reconciliation, veterans' affairs, and the civic life of the community he loved.
