Biography
Heigo Miidla (1919–1989) was a biochemist whose research helped lay foundations for the development of biochemical sciences in Estonia. His meticulous laboratory work and thoughtful publications contributed to a growing scientific community in the country.
Colleagues remembered him for his quiet dedication and generosity in mentoring younger researchers, and he lies in Old St. John's cemetery as a tribute to his lifelong pursuit of knowledge.
