Biography
Heinrich Friedmann, born in 1908, grew up in a world on the cusp of transformation, and as a young man, he sought to contribute positively to his community. His warmth and youthful optimism endeared him to those he met, and he was a source of encouragement to friends and family alike.
Tragically, Heinrich became one of the many whose lives were cut short in Terezín; he endured the hardships there with bravery borne of deep compassion. He rests in the National Cemetery in Terezín, remembered as a promising life taken too soon yet still shining through the memories of those who knew him.
