Heinrich Schenker, born in 1868, was a composer and theorist whose bold insight into harmony and counterpoint gave rise to the analytical approach now known as Schenkerian analysis.
He guided students with rigor and warmth, and after his passing in 1935 he found rest at the New Jewish Cemetery, leaving behind a legacy of musical clarity and devotion.
