Biography
Henri de Saussure brought a careful eye to the study of zoology, cataloguing Alpine life with patience and a deep respect for the natural world. His field work and observations enriched the scientific understanding of Switzerland’s fauna and encouraged others to treasure the mountains and valleys they explored.
He was laid to rest in the Cemetery of Genthod in 1905, leaving behind a legacy of curiosity that still animates naturalists today.
