Henrik Leonhard Danchell (1802-1871) was a merchant whose keen sense of trade and fair dealing helped sustain the vital markets that sustained Copenhagen and its surroundings.

Devoted to both prosperity and charity, he balanced business with a warm interest in the welfare of his neighbors, and his grave in Frederiksberg Old Cemetery reflects the respect he earned.
