Biography

Henrik Sørensen (1864–1944) was a devoted xylographer whose meticulous woodcuts brought stories and folklore to life for a wide audience. His work reflected a deep respect for Danish traditions and a mastery of form, tone, and narrative.

He is remembered for the care he took in every commission, leaving behind a body of work that continues to inspire artisans, and his memory rests peacefully at Vestre Cemetery.
