Henry B. Mattingly

Biography

Henry B. Mattingly marched with the Union Army, rising through the ranks and distinguishing himself during the Siege of Vicksburg, where his gallantry in the assault won him the Medal of Honor.

After the war he remained a staunch presence among veterans, helping them find work and encouraging remembrance of the sacrifices they shared.
