Henry Bristow

Biography

Henry Bristow, having served in Brooklyn's civic ranks, brought his experience in municipal law to Congress, where he helped navigate the demands of a rapidly urbanizing nation.

Upon returning to local affairs he continued to defend the port, its households, and the public institutions that supported working families along the East River, with descendants honoring him at Green-Wood Cemetery.
