Biography

Henry Charles Stephens, born in 1841, was the driving force behind Stephens Ink, building the company into a household name while turning his wealth toward philanthropic efforts in education and the arts.

He served in local politics and supported public institutions, and his generosity underpinned hospitals, parks, and scholarships; he died in 1918 and his grave lies in East Finchley Cemetery.
