Biography

Henry Drisler was a distinguished classical scholar whose intellectual contributions enriched American educational and cultural life during the nineteenth century. His expertise in classical studies represented the humanistic traditions that shaped American intellectual discourse of his era.

Born in 1818 and living until 1897, Drisler devoted much of his life to the study and teaching of classical languages and literature.
