Henry H. Crocker

Biography

Henry H. Crocker, born in 1839, answered the call to serve during the Civil War and earned the Medal of Honor for his valor, demonstrating extraordinary courage under fire alongside his comrades. The bravery he displayed in those pivotal moments reflected a deep commitment to the Union cause and to the protection of his fellow soldiers.

After the war he continued to care for veterans and to foster a spirit of fellowship among those who had shared the battlefield; Washington Cemetery now marks his resting place and reminds us of the sacrifices he and so many others made for the nation.
