Biography

Henry Lane Wilson spent a career in diplomacy, serving as United States Minister to Colombia and France before becoming ambassador to Mexico, where his tenure coincided with tumultuous events at the dawn of the Mexican Revolution.

He believed in steady negotiation and the protection of American citizens abroad, and his lifelong dedication to diplomacy is reflected in the peaceful repose at Crown Hill Cemetery.
