Henry McShane

Biography

Born in 1830, Henry McShane became a master bell manufacturer whose work resonated across the growing churches and institutions of his time, carefully shaping each bronze tone so it would call worshippers and communities alike to gather.

He was respected for the pride he took in every cast, and so it is fitting that he rests at New Cathedral Cemetery, where the echo of his craft continues to remind those who pass by of the steady hands that rang so many hours.
