Henry Monteith

Biography

Henry Monteith was a prominent businessman who conducted his commercial affairs in Glasgow during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. His business activities contributed to Glasgow's growth as a major commercial and industrial center during this period.

Monteith's career reflected the entrepreneurial spirit and economic dynamism of early 19th-century Glasgow. He lived to the age of 84, dying in 1848, and was laid to rest in Ramshorn Cemetery, one of Glasgow's historic burial grounds.
