Biography
Henry Myer Phillips, a Philadelphia lawyer born in 1811, served in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he defended fair commerce and worked to bring the measured voice of the law to pressing national conversations.
His later years were spent encouraging charitable and religious communities and reminding friends that integrity was the best inheritance, and he is buried at Mount Sinai Cemetery where many pause to honor his contributions.
