Henry Peter Delmé

Biography

Henry Peter Delmé (1793–1883) is recalled with respect by the parish of St Peter, Titchfield, where he maintained a steady interest in civic and church affairs. Though he preferred the quiet of Titchfield, he never shirked the calls of public service when he saw a need.

He encouraged the leadership of the church, welcomed neighbors to the altar, and left a legacy of contemplative devotion that still comforts those who gather within the ancient stones of St Peter’s.
