Biography

Henry S. Magoon (1832-1889) devoted himself to the betterment of his community, listening patiently to the hopes of neighbors and carrying their concerns forward with clear-eyed judgment. He was the sort of man whose quiet resolve inspired others to take part in the civic life of their town.

Union Grove Cemetery now shelters the remains of one who believed that steadfast service and compassionate leadership could knit a community together through every storm.
