Henry S. White

Biography

Henry S. White, born in 1844, witnessed the upheavals of the Civil War era before answering the call of the Pacific Northwest, joining family and neighbors to shape the Fair View area. He spent his days tending to the needs of a growing settlement, offering a quiet hand wherever it was needed.

When he departed in 1901, he was laid to rest at Fair View Cemetery, and the gentle diligence with which he met each day is remembered by descendants and neighbors alike.
