Biography
Henry Skillman Breckinridge dedicated his legal mind to the service of his country, advocating for measured diplomacy and serving in key roles that bridged Washington and Paris with a conviction that law could steady international relations.
After years of practice and public service, he remained a thoughtful mentor to younger attorneys and diplomats, and when he died in 1960 his many admirers laid him to rest at Lexington Cemetery.
