Henry T. Drowne

Biography

Henry T. Drowne was born in 1822 and remained a steady presence in Providence as the city evolved through mid-century challenges and opportunities. Though records do not preserve the details of his vocation, he was well regarded by neighbors who knew him as a kindly figure attentive to family and community needs.

When he passed in 1897, he was laid to rest at Swan Point Cemetery, where the quiet grace of that place now holds his memory alongside others who valued decency and steady care for those around them.
