Biography
Herbert Philbrick (1915-1993) brought courage to the pulpit of civic life, volunteering as an undercover witness to Communist activity before chronicling those events in his widely read memoir, I Led Three Lives.
He spent later years speaking and writing about the need to protect civil liberties while remaining vigilant, a mission that those close to him still honor at Rye Central Cemetery.
