Herman Biggs (1832–1887) upheld a reputation for compassionate service, always mindful of how his efforts could uplift those around him and reinforce the bonds that sustain a neighborhood.

His grave at Greenmount Cemetery remains a place of remembrance for the kindness and dependability he offered throughout his life.
