Biography

Holger Cahill championed American art as a curator and historian, directing the Federal Art Project during the New Deal and elevating folk and regional traditions to national attention.

He settled in Stockbridge, where he continued to support artists, document their work, and mentor young collectors, leaving behind a legacy of devotion to creativity that endures near Stockbridge Cemetery.
