Biography

Holger Roed (1846–1874) was a talented Danish painter whose artistic career, though brief, demonstrated considerable promise and skill. Working during the mid-nineteenth century, he contributed to Danish artistic traditions during a formative period in the nation's cultural development.

His untimely death at the age of twenty-eight cut short a career that showed great potential. Roed is remembered at Ringsted Cemetery, where his memory is preserved among other notable figures of Danish history.
