Biography
Hoot Gibson was an American actor and rodeo performer who became one of the most popular Western film stars of the silent era. Known for his authentic horsemanship and charismatic screen presence, Gibson appeared in numerous films throughout the 1920s and 1930s, establishing himself as a leading figure in Western cinema.
Gibson's career spanned several decades, during which he demonstrated remarkable versatility both in front of the camera and as a skilled equestrian. His contributions to the Western genre helped define the archetype of the cowboy hero in early American cinema. He passed away in 1962 and was laid to rest at Inglewood Park Cemetery.
