Biography

Horacio Rivero, Jr. became the Navy's first Hispanic four-star admiral, commanding fleets in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, and playing a key role during the Cuban Missile Crisis as a steady advisor. His leadership combined strategic vision with a deep sense of duty that inspired sailors under his command.

He continued to champion the Navy and mentor junior officers, embodying discipline and civic pride, and his legacy rests at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.
