Biography
Horatio Bryan Donkin, born in 1845, served as a medical examiner whose careful attention to detail supported legal and public health proceedings, and he was respected for the gentle firmness he brought to difficult work.
He mentored younger clinicians, championed improvements to mortuary practice, and remained a reassuring presence in his profession until his passing in 1927, when his remains were interred in Nunhead Cemetery.
