Horatio G. Smith, born in 1833, devoted himself to the well-being of his community, offering steady leadership and a generous heart to every enterprise he touched.

When he passed in 1908, he was laid to rest at Moss Side Cemetery, the community grateful for the warm legacy he left behind.
