Horatio Stockton Howell

Biography

Horatio Stockton Howell was born in 1820 and lived through the antebellum and Civil War periods of American history. He experienced firsthand the turbulent changes that defined mid-nineteenth-century America.

Howell was laid to rest at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, a final resting place befitting a man of his standing in the community.
