Biography
Hosea Rogers devoted himself to building the commercial and social fabric of his region, offering practical leadership to businesses and civic projects that shaped Rochester's steady growth. His word was relied upon when neighbors sought counsel, and he took particular care to mentor younger citizens moving into positions of responsibility.
He leaves behind the memory of a conscientious steward of public life; he died in 1904 and was laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery.
