Biography
Hovhannes Arscharouni (1854–1929) was an Armenian presbyter who served the Armenian Christian community during a tumultuous period in Armenian and Ottoman history. His religious ministry spanned decades of significant social and political upheaval in the region.
Hovhannes Arscharouni's long life allowed him to witness and respond to the profound changes affecting Armenian society. As a presbyter, he provided spiritual guidance and pastoral care to his congregation through periods of great challenge. He was buried in Şişli Armenian Cemetery, a resting place that reflects his dedication to the Armenian Christian faith and community.
