Humphry Repton (1752–1818) was an architect celebrated for reinventing the English landscape, publishing his Red Books and guiding patrons to unite architecture, water, and woodland in harmonious estates.

He is commemorated at the Parish Church of Saint Michael for the grace he brought to gardens and grounds that continue to inspire care for the natural world.
