Hylan B. Lyon

Biography

Hylan B. Lyon (1836-1907) entered military service as a young man and rose to the rank of brigadier-general, distinguishing himself with tenacity and a fierce devotion to duty.

After the conflict he returned to civilian life to practice law and mentor younger citizens, and his gravesite at Riverview Cemetery honors a life committed to both service and reconciliation.
