Ida Benza

Biography

Ida Benza (1846–1880) was a Hungarian opera singer whose vocal talents contributed to the musical and cultural life of 19th-century Hungary. Her performances in opera reflected the vibrant artistic traditions of her era and the appreciation for musical excellence in Hungarian society.

Benza's career in opera, though cut short by her early death, left an impression on the cultural landscape of her time. Her artistry and dedication to the operatic tradition remain remembered as part of Hungary's musical heritage. She was laid to rest at the Fiume Road Graveyard.
