Biography
Ignacy Raczyński (1741–1823) was a Polish Catholic priest who served the Church during a transformative period in Polish history. As a member of the prominent Raczyński family, he combined ecclesiastical duties with the cultural and intellectual responsibilities expected of the nobility.
Raczyński's long life—spanning over eight decades—witnessed Poland's partitions and the resilience of Polish Catholic faith during foreign occupation. He was laid to rest in the Municipal Cemetery in Brzozów, where he ministered to his flock.
