Ignatz Kollisch

Biography

Ignatz Kollisch was a member of Brno's Jewish community who lived from 1811 to 1888. His long life of seventy-seven years encompassed much of the nineteenth century, a period of significant transformation for Jewish communities throughout Central Europe.

Kollisch's burial in the Jewish cemetery in Brno marks his enduring connection to the community and represents an important part of the historical record preserved in this sacred burial ground.
