Biography

Ilja Fomitsj Jakoebov was a Soviet test pilot whose courage and skill helped advance aviation technology during a critical period of development. Test pilots of his era undertook extraordinary risks to push the boundaries of flight and contribute to their nation's aeronautical progress.
