Biography

Infanta María Cristina of Spain was a member of the Spanish royal family, born in 1854. Though her life was brief, she held the dignity of her station and the hopes of the dynasty.

She was interred at the Pantheon of the Infantes of the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, a place of honor reserved for members of the Spanish royal house. Her memory remains part of the historical record of the Spanish monarchy.
