Biography

Infante Francisco de Asís of Spain was born in 1866 as a member of the Spanish royal family. Though his life was brief, his birth represented the continuation of the Bourbon dynasty during a significant period in Spanish history.

The Infante's short existence was marked by his place within the royal succession. He was interred in the Pantheon of the Infantes of the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, the traditional resting place for members of the Spanish royal family.
